Regional Risks Following the Abubakar Houshangi Komala Attack
The Abubakar Houshangi Komala attack reflects a broader and dangerous escalation by Iranian military forces. Indeed, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has launched multiple cross-border strikes against Kurdish bases in recent weeks.
Furthermore, these strikes directly endanger nearby civilian refugee camps housing women and children. Therefore, human rights organizations continue to demand an immediate end to these indiscriminate cross-border bombardments.
